Hi, I’m Rose.

Meet The Founder

For Rose, teaching has always been a part of her life.It is as organic as her love for children, which is why she has dedicated her career to guiding and enlightening little learners.

Rose grew up in Chicago in a large Mexican and Polish family. She began her teaching career there and moved to New York City in 2011. In New York, she worked as a babysitter, tutor, and teacher for young children in Manhattan, focusing on STEM and leadership skills. In 2015, she discovered her passion for teaching two-year-olds at a Reggio Emilia–inspired preschool, where she supported children through a child-led, teacher-guided learning approach.

In the summer of 2019, she gave birth to her son and spent the following year adjusting to motherhood. She used many of the lessons from her classroom while raising her curious child.

As she watched him learn new skills—like exploring his surroundings and using his imagination—she realized something was missing: a sense of community. During the difficult months of the pandemic, with an eleven-month-old and no family nearby, she decided to create a welcoming space where parents and children could connect, socialize, and learn through open-ended play.

Rose’s love for teaching and community coupled with her enduring commitment to help fellow city kids ignite their curiosity is what truly makes Rose and A Rosie Day program a welcoming place for all learners and their families.

A Rosie Day is built on the idea that it takes a village!
